I am SO excited right now… I’m a legitimate crafter at Etsy who’s been included in a beautiful treasury! Thanks so much to one of my favorites, MaisyandAlice!
Even better? My scarflette has gotton 22 clicks so far… second highest of all the featured items! I couldn’t be prouder.
Well… maybe I’d be prouder if someone actually bought something…
Morning conversation –
Z: Did you see my big new toothbrush?
S: I did! But you just got a new toothbrush at Christmas…
Z: Sometimes I like to treat myself.
S: Well, I know that about you, but usually you go bigger than a toothbrush.
Z: Times are tough.
Two things that are making me happy right now… my pretty tulips and my new orchid! They’re like a little bit of springtime right in my house.
Kristin asked me to make her a scarflette to match her new coat and handbag. She chose the yarn and said I could choose the pattern and button detailing. I picked a mini-bobble pattern and even taught myself how to crochet so I could put a girly picot trim on it. And, to top it off, one bright, pretty yellow button. I love the way it turned out and hope she does too.
And, for the Etsy posting I experimented some with my photography style. The only room with good lighting in our house is the guest bath so I’ve been taking my photos in front of the closed wooden door. I thought it might add a rich tone to the images, but I’m noticing that they’re not getting much attention and they’re hard to fit into Etsy Treasuries. So today I took my pictures in front of the white shower curtain. I think I like this look better… it seems bright and fresh and the products really stand out. What do you think?
I’ve had an opportunity to make another Etsy Treasury! I’ll admit it… I’m totally obsessed. This one is all about the various shades of green we call sage (with a bit of yellow and pink and blue thrown in). Quite pleased. The image links to Etsy… Check it out and leave me your comments!
I got my business cards today so I am officially Director of Client Services at Creative Company. Or, if you prefer, you can call me The Brand Weaver – a shout out to all of my knitting and fiber friends and everyone who believes in integrated branding and marketing.
Jen finished my new banner for Etsy and it’s uploaded… I think it looks awesome! If you’re interested in having Jen do some work for you: http://www.jenwakeman.com.
